I do not use an Android phone.

Yet think about it. Whoever could have guessed that the Internet, mind-boggling for when it first came out . . would end up as a venue for cute cat/dog/horse/parrot and you-name-it videos!!????

@jbuitron May be they should be using Facebook or Instagram all courtesy of Meta, along with numerous scam and dark goings on to promote their wares.

But on the other side the authorities are quite happy to use it for information gathering and intelligence purposes.

Affirmative.

I still recall a very small 'app' that was downloadable on Windows systems (this is circa 1997-1998).The software was an automated gif that would imitate a cat walking across your screen. Sitting down, sleeping, etc. After I started in cyber, I remembered the name of the little program and looked it up. Sure enough it was malware, and over half the computers in the area where I worked had that little cat walking around on the screen!!!
