Yep, QKD is a fascinating advancement in secure communications, its current scalability, cost, and infrastructure demands make it impractical for near-term adoption.

Hi All

A useful good reading document on the uses and limits of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

https://cyber.gouv.fr/en/actualites/uses-and-limits-quantum-key-distribution

It has limitations, some Satellite systems are using it and within Telecommunications networks too.

We will still need a replacement to Public Key Infrastructure Management systems when Y2Q hits.

Regards

Caute_Cautim

@akkemI agree, if you are the size of AT&T and own telecommunication networks, then obviously it makes sense as they control the associated networks. It makes an obvious choice for Satellite and digital innovation as well too. But with associated limitations,

Regards

Caute_Cautim
