The fine folks at Mozilla, being as brave as they are in taking on the tech giants, is releasing in Firefox 72 a function that will permit users to delete telemetry data (official blog post here). Remember that when your team builds apps - privacy should not be an option. It should be the default.

What doesn't seem clear to me is that when you use the feature will it just deleted the telemetry to have on you up to that point and then start over like a reset button, or will the stop collecting this data from you completely. My guess it will be more like a reset button, just like with tracking cookies.

Anyone have any insight into this?

John-

From the blog post, "we’ve always given people easy options to disable telemetry in Firefox.". Instructions for doing so can be found here.
