I volunteered at the 2018 Security Conference and ISC2 will send out a request asking for volunteers 4-5 months (I seem to recall) before the conference. Once they request members to volunteer there will be a series of steps to become a volunteer.

To make sure and get your name on the list as interested please email volunteer@isc2.org. Then probably around April (ISC)2 will start sending out emails for people that are interested in volunteering.

If there are any questions I can answer regarding volunteering please don't hesitate to reach out. I have volunteered the last 2 years and am planning to volunteer again this year in Orlando.

Isn't volunteering usually driven by the local (ISC)2 Chapter?

It depends. Last year we were in New Orleans and there isn't a chapter there. @paulablalock is your person for volunteering!

It does not include travel and lodging. It is normally the conference fee and breakfast and lunch.

Yes, in past years we have utilized the partnership with local chapters to provide volunteer support; however, we realize that we should be able to partner with the local chapter while also sharing the opportunity to volunteer with more of the (ISC)2 membership. So now and in the future we will be both working with local chapters but also opening the opportunity to volunteer to members of (ISC)2.

Hello! As a security congress volunteer or ambassador, they receive a free All-Access pass, as well as meals included during shifts (normally breakfast and lunch).

However, travel and lodging, transportation, extras, etc. are not included.
