Some interesting statistics, if believable that 83% of organisations pay the ransom fee, rather than not do so, due the level of disruption to their respective businesses.

Where is the resilience in organisations these days?

I have no clue what management would decide. This is one of those questions that likely has a different answer "in theory" than "in reality". One is very rarely concerned with the greater good when the individual pain is extreme.
