    <description>&lt;P&gt;The alt-right (along with the tin-foil hat) crowd have &lt;STRONG&gt;finally&lt;/STRONG&gt; started to run afoul of long-standing standards on social media platforms.&amp;nbsp; Kicking them off has started to become known as deplatforming.&amp;nbsp; Their need to spew garbage on an unrestricted basis has apparently led to some "&lt;A href="https://www.npr.org/2021/03/16/972519460/across-the-internet-a-game-of-whac-a-mole-is-underway-to-root-out-extremism" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;innovations," sometimes being referred to as alt-tech&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp; The innovations don't seem to be very innovative, being mostly low-grade hacking, and attempts to misuse existing platforms and systems without being caught.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
