    <description>&lt;P&gt;Move over, &lt;A href="https://community.isc2.org/t5/Industry-News/Regulating-quot-high-tech-quot-and-quot-online-quot/m-p/26306#M3299" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Hawley&lt;/A&gt;, the big guns are coming to town.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The US administration is rumoured to be planning legislation or executive action to &lt;A href="https://lauren.vortex.com/2019/08/10/the-right-and-lefts-insane-internet-content-power-grab" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;prevent bias against right-wing postings against social media&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Since most of the "evidence" of such bias is the removal of content that would be illegal as "hate speech" anyway, this legislation might be difficult to write.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;At the same time, some kind of panel (the composition of which is, at the moment, being hidden) is meeting, at the White House, in order to demand action to take down social media content that might lead to violence and mass shootings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, on the one hand, the administration wants hate speech taken down (immediately), and, on the other, it wants it protected ...&lt;/P&gt;</description>
