    <description>&lt;P&gt;(This isn't exactly "industry" news, but that's the only news we've got, so ...)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Somebody over at IT World is equating the &lt;A href="https://www.itworldcanada.com/article/how-avengers-endgame-can-teach-us-about-quantum-computings-threat-to-encryption/417338" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;end-of-encryption-as-we-know-it-due-to-quantum-computing with the time travel plot&lt;/A&gt; in the new "Avengers: Endgame" movie.&amp;nbsp; And that time travel makes for pretty good decryption, since you can go back in time to before the plaintext was encrypted.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yeah, I'd say they are equivalent.&amp;nbsp; Equally improbable ...&lt;/P&gt;</description>
