    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://community.isc2.org/t5/Industry-News/Facebook-quot-research-quot-app-via-third-parties/m-p/18490" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Facebook was pulling a fast one&lt;/A&gt; trying to get users to run apps that fed "research" data back to Facebook.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Google was apparently doing the same thing.&amp;nbsp; But &lt;A href="https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2019/02/01/google-says-sorry-for-pulling-a-facebook-with-monitoring-program/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;it fessed up and voluntarily pulled the apps&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Same stunt.&amp;nbsp; Different attitudes ...&lt;/P&gt;</description>
