    <description>&lt;P&gt;Some would say this topic is redundant: that Facebook &lt;STRONG&gt;is&lt;/STRONG&gt; a massive security breach.&amp;nbsp; After all, there was the irony in the fact that Facebook was starting to &lt;A href="https://community.isc2.org/t5/Industry-News/Facebook-on-trusting-trust/m-p/13920#M1485" target="_blank"&gt;assess how trustworthy its users were&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp; And then there was the claim that &lt;A href="https://community.isc2.org/t5/Industry-News/Facebook-doesn-t-know-what-it-knows-about-you/m-p/14123#M1528" target="_blank"&gt;Facebook doesn't know what it knows&lt;/A&gt; about you.&amp;nbsp; And even when it tries to do something right, like &lt;A href="https://community.isc2.org/t5/Industry-News/Facebook-has-some-splainin-to-do/m-p/12454#M1246" target="_blank"&gt;counter fraud and hate speech, it doesn't work&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp; And, do you &lt;STRONG&gt;really&lt;/STRONG&gt; want to trust Facebook with all your &lt;A href="https://community.isc2.org/t5/Industry-News/You-can-trust-Facebook-with-your-banking-details-Really/m-p/13387#M1349" target="_blank"&gt;financial info&lt;/A&gt;?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But, no, this hasn't anything to do with all those.&amp;nbsp; &lt;A href="https://www.npr.org/2018/09/28/652631686/facebook-says-security-breach-affected-almost-50-million-accounts" target="_blank"&gt;Facebook has had an actual breach&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp; It affected more than 50 million users.&amp;nbsp; Maybe.&amp;nbsp; As always, when dealing with Facebook, very few details are forthcoming.&amp;nbsp; Account data could have been stolen.&amp;nbsp; Accounts could have been taken over.&amp;nbsp; But, so far, all reports are "could" and not much about what actually has happened ...&lt;/P&gt;</description>
