When it comes to free resources, podcasts are the right there at the top for me.

Podcasts:

Security Now (with the legendary Steve Gibson, Approx 2Hrs weekly)

Pauls Security Weekly (approx 2hrs)

Sans internet storm Center Daily ( 5-10 mins podcasts with almost realtime Security topics)

Cybrary is a must. I sat and passed my CISSP a few months ago and I have to say Kelly Handerhan's course on Cybrary had a good deal to do with it. Not so much the actual content - that's stuff you just need to know/learn - but how to approach the exam itself.

My local library maintains a subscription to the Safari tech ebooks service. You cannot download them, only read online, but it's free.

I'm also a longtime user of SecurityTube. There are a lot of free videos and fairly low-cost certificates for courses of study there.

Hi Moe,

I used the quiz engine at skillset.com when prepping for my CISSP.

The free tier was extremely helpful and helped me get an idea of what to expect on the test.

They have other quiz engines for other tests as well.

Hope this helps!

JD
