I am currently studying to take the CISSP exam in January 2020. Can anyone tell me what the hardest domain was to focus on and what you did to overcome it?

Well, the answer will depend on your experiences.

A lot people complained about network part when I was preparing for the exam, but it was the easiest part for me due to my background.

So the best way to approach is to do a very honest self-assessment against all domains, and list strength and weakness on all domains based on your own assessment. This would give you a better study map and time allocations.
