The dreaded "community" pr0n filter strikes again ...

Right. We've talked about this before. In fact, I'm pretty sure someone has posted about just this type of event ("forbidden" terms in URLs), but the search function (which seems to be increasingly useless) isn't helping me on this one.

So I've just posted about a smart TV being hacked and used to grab some footage of the home inhabitants being caught "canoodling" and having footage posted to a pr0n site. (Sorry, I know it's silly, but that's what the dreaded pr0n filter does to us.) The URL for the story is

(No, of course that link doesn't work: you have to correct the link because the dreaded "community" pr0n filter won't let me post it properly.)

It isn't hard to fool the pr0n filter: all I had to do was go to a URL shortener and get https://is.gd/8Dl13P

I hate doing that: using shorteners is a good way to fool people into visiting sites they don't know, so it's a security risk.

But the dreaded "community" pr0n filter demands that we use insecure means to post security stories ...
