Both the presidential race and the 2020 census are watershed events in American Politics. I don't recall both ever happening in the same year--at least, not in my lifetime. What are we doing to assure the information security of these two vital processes of American democracy???

I have more concern with the lack of voter ID. Identification is not that hard to get for legal residents. I went to a local voter place to vote and asked if my mother-in-law was on the registered voter list. I watched as they went over the voter list right in front of me. They had stickers for each person who showed up to vote so I could see who had already voted, but more importantly who had not voted yet. I was never asked for id. I could have easily voted twice or more just by showing up later and stating I was someone else. They said my mother-in-law was not on the list but she could come by and fill out a provisional ballot (so it evidently didn't even matter if she was registered to vote!).

We had to show more id to take the CISSP test than to vote. That is more of a problem than how many people we have in a country during a presidential election cycle. I believe both events also happened in 1980.
