Give Retired CISSPS Access to CISSP Group

It appears the CISSP Group here in the community is restricted to current CISSPs, only. Please expand the access to (ISC)2 members who are officially designated as Retired CISSP.

There is a lot we all can learn from those, such as Donn Parker, who have chosen to maintain their (ISC)2 affiliation though retired from active employment in the field. They are definitely part of our CISSP community.

I concur with this request.

Historical lessons learned, and access to folks with proven experience in critical thinking-up solutions to complex security problems are important to the discussion of future security topics.

This, along with the question access by associates and holders of other (ISC)² certificates would be a good question for a poll.

Does this Community form have a way to set up polls linked to posts? I have not seen any method here. Both the Yahoo! Groups for the (defunct) CISSPForum and the Groups.io sites offer such a poll tool.

Yes. It's currently not available to the general users.

In the mean time, you could include a poll through a free service, like Google:

Or possibly the moderators will contact you about putting up a poll for this and the other group question.

I was thinking more that we woudl ask (ISC)² to run a few polls. For example, one poll might be if the CISSP group should be accessible to Associates, Retirees, and/or those with lapsed certificates? Another poll might ask which portions of the site should be available anonymously and indexed by Google?

Yes they should have access.

While I am retired, I am still very active in our local ISC2 and ISSA groups. That gives me enough CPEs to maintain my CISSP that I got way back in 1991.

I think this was geared toward folks that no longer maintain their CISSP through CPEs; not necessarily folks that are retired from their career.
