If you do not believe you have 5 years of required experience for CISSP can you still request Endorsement while staying an associate?

If you are an Associate, you can submit an endorsement application at any time.

As part of that submission you will need to provide evidence that you meet the experience requirement.

If you do not believe you meet the experience criteria, and therefore don't have the evidence to submit, why would you want to go through this?

Thank you for your reply. I was of the same mindset, however someone that wants to endorse me proposed the question. My goal of asking was to ensure I did not miss something in my thought process.
