This is not a pretty one at all, used by many enforcement agencies overseas, TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) is a secret encryption cipher baked into radio systems for the past 25 years.

Openness vs secrecy debate endures, especially when a vulnerability is discussed, which turns out to be a backdoor in the secure system....
