Brazil's new privacy laws

A new Data Privacy Law becomes effective in Brazil in August, 2020 (no exact date published)

In Brazil, it will be called the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais or LGPD.

As with all recent privacy laws, it calls for a Privacy Officer (exact term they use is Data Protection Officer), also a definition of what is covered, etc.
