I'm from Sri Lanka we have only one Pearson Vue exam centre. certified in cybersecurity free exam Voucher is only valid on this year . there are no dates to book this year, all are booked. i think Online testing with OnVUE is the best thing.

Hi all!

The current code available to (ISC)² Candidates to access the free CC exam is only valid through 2022. We will have a new one available for exams in 2023 in December.

Hi, I just tried to book my CC exam in Toronto Canada, and I encoutered an issue about the voucher code.

After I selected a test centre via pearson vue and picked an avaialble time slot, it showed exam fee of $199+ tax. I keyed in my voucher code, but I got a message that the voucher is invalid.

So how can I take the test for free?

Anyone in Canada Toronto took for the test for free?

Please advise.

I just want to clarify that I made a mistake of applying the wrong voucher for exam. The right voucher (promotion code) to apply is located on candidate benefit page and look something like CC1Mxxxxxxx. Thanks chumphr33 again for pointing this out.

Hope it also helps others who experience similar issue.

Same here too. I just finished the training then proceed to register for exam, only for me to find out that it is going to cost the sum of $199 whereas I was thinking it's free. Is there any promo code or voucher to enable me to take the exams for year 2023 because there is no available appointment for this year in my location.

I sat for my exam today 12/10/22 and unfortunately did not pass. I am wondering what the cost for retaking the exam will be, will I have to pay the full price? I had thought I remembered seeing somewhere that candidates can retake for a $50.00 fee

That is unfortunate that candidates have to pay the full price, I would of loved to have given it another go but honestly at this point I am struggling financially, I already had to spend $50 due to having unforeseen circumstances happen during my original exam date of November and had to re-schedule. It’s erroneous that you won’t work with your candidates in situations like mine, be it that I called a day after booking my appointment not seeing the $50 cost and asking for an exception only to speak to a rude member support rep saying that it’s not her problem.

I feel ISC needs to look at their retake policies and reschedule policies , I cannot imagine the feeling of sitting for my CISSP and possibly being out $1400, there are so many other exams that are just as credible as yours that offer discounts on retakes and do not charge to reschedule .

That said, it’s wonderful you are giving out free vouchers for this exam, but honestly the material provided didn’t match anything on the exam and I felt underprepared going to sit for my exam in the first place, but I took the exam under the impression I could retake again.

That said, it seems like it would be better for a candidate to buy the training bundle with two vouchers for $199 instead of the retake! As for me I will be pursuing other certifications

One last thought, failing any exam is already demeaning enough. Sure having to pay a full price of an exam may give that extra push to study harder, but we all know that sometimes things happen. It’s truly unfortunate that you can’t give test takers a break!

Isn’t the Goal of ISC giving away one-million free vouchers to candidates to help bring an end to the shortage in the industry? That is what you are promoting, I do not see how charging ridiculous prices helps with this!

The exam was nothing like the online course, many new terminology and scenarios. I unfortunately didn't pass either by one section.

Many people agree that online testing would be highly convenient. So much so that it was trialed earlier this year. Unfortunately, the less ethical amongst us quickly demonstrated why it is not the "best thing".
