I'm in the exact same boat so I'm interested in any advice. I failed it yesterday and felt I understood each question. Going back reading over the same books will not help my understanding any further. I think if anything, it is exam technique maybe that I need to work on but I passed CISSP last year and am familiar with the style. I probably put more hours into this one but was less confident than CISSP due to the lack of good practice questions. The official ones are very easy. I scored 80+ in cccure and Kaplan sets. Think if I dont do something different, it will be same result next time around but I'm not sure what!

(Or read it online:
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~rja14/book.html ) Best single volume reference for
security. Make sure you study it thoroughly, and understand it.

(You might also want to look at his lectures. For free:
https://community.isc2.org/t5/Career/Ross-Anderson-videos/m-p/35161
https://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/teaching/1920/SWSecEng/materials.html )

> I think if anything, it is
> exam technique maybe that I need to work on but I passed CISSP last year and am
> familiar with the style.

Thanks for the tips, much appreciated. Anything additional is worth a try - that book looks very good so will definitely work through it. I'm sure a lot of the principles apply to cloud and the updated version may even have cloud specific stuff included.

I have the student guide from the self paced online course. I found the course terrible in that it was just a guy reading this manual back to me for hours but I do think there is good information within the guide that is not within the official CBK - so I'm going to focus a little more on this one next time. Also think I will get the CCSK under my belt in the meantime and have something to show for the last 6 months' work.

<LI-SPOILER>I decided to go with the SSCP, much better test. I studied 5 books for the CCSP and the exam asked a lot of questions that were to be interpreted with no rhyme or reason in knowing the material. Terrible test. </LI-SPOILER>
