Is there a particular exam I must take to become an associate? I'm sitting for the certified in cybersecurity exam next week. But still not sure how the program works.

Associate status is really for those who pass an exam that requires experience, but you don't yet have the experience and you don't want to 'lose' passing the exam.

As you are going for CC, which does NOT require experience, this isn't something you need to worry about. Once you pass CC, you will be certified and be an ISC2 member.

How should you claim that you pass associate exam"

HUH?

There is no "cissp associate exam" or any kind of "associate exam" within ISC2.

If you pass ANY of ISC2's exams that required experience BUT don't have the experience, you can apply for associate status. This is "Associate of ISC2", NOT "Associate CISSP" or the like. You can't give the misimpression that you have a CISSP just because you passed the exam.

[in case that's not clear, there is NO associate status with the CC, as it doesn't require experience. Passing the exam gets you CC.]
