As has been pointed out, look for information security/cybersecurity orgs in your local area. This can include ISSA, ISC2, ISACA, CSA chapters, as well as local "meetups" for Defcon and AWS and the like. Here you can network with local peers who can often point you to local jobs. Be aware that building up a network on professionals will take time. Don't expect to get a job lead in the first or even 10th meeting.

Don't overlook conferences, especially Security BSides conference, which may have a track of talks and workshops for those looking to get a job (or a new job).

It also has the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance.

I would suggest looking for active cybersecurity chapters in your area. There are good presentations, but they are also attended by people who work in the field and know more about local opportunities. Many start off with opportunities or people looking for those. This would include CSA (Cloud Security Alliance) since expressed an interest in that. Even if there is not a local chapter, membership is no cost and looks good on a resume. Many of their chapters offer virtual events. Look for cloud data centers in your area. They are not well advertised as part of physical security, but they often have SOC and NOC positions. One lady I was helping got frustrated looking. I suggested to her to go just a little “lower” by applying for an admin role at the ones that were around her. The admins typically know the operation better than the others working there. I told her once got that position to be very helpful and volunteer to assist on more technical things. It did work for her and now runs that cloud data center. Best wishes.
