Job Location

The Director IT Risk & Compliance position is located in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Duties

The Director of IT Risk & Compliance interfaces between the Chief Information Security Officer’s (CISO) strategic and process-based activities and the work of the technology-focused analysts, engineers and administrators in the IT organization.

This leader sets strategies and oversees operations related to IT risk and compliance. The Director:

Interprets relevant legislation and industry frameworks (e.g. HIPAA, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, HICP) and develops strategies to ensure organizational alignment.
Oversees the performance of IT security risk assessments and tracks internal remediation efforts.
Manages third party vendor risk assessment processes.
Assists in developing Information Security program strategy and measuring success.
Leads a team of IT Risk Management, Disaster Recovery, Security Awareness, Identity and Access Management, and Data Center Engineering professionals.
Is responsible for the development of the information security identity program.

Experience

Prefer five (5) or more years in Information Technology with one (1) or more years in healthcare.
At least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
CISSP, CISM, or CISA certifications preferred.

Skills

Requires a strong technical background and the ability to work with the IT organization and business management to align priorities and plans with key business objectives.
Able to communicate complex / technical subject matter effectively both verbally and in writing.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written) including listening; skilled in and comfortable communicating to senior-level executives.
Effective interpersonal skills and executive presence.
Able to improve processes and to understand / learn complex or technical subject matters.
Can use knowledge of or gain knowledge of best practices, processes, laws, regulations, tools, and software within the subject matter area of this position.
Effective leadership and management skills in developing team members and motivating a team to meet deadlines.
