Research Participation Opportunity - Potential for CPE

I am a CISSP who is part of a team that is conducting an experiment funded by the United States Air Force Research Laboratory, to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of visualizations to enhance performance of cyber defenders. We are recruiting participants with 3 years of cyber workforce experience or students who compete in cyber competitions (must be at least 18 years old).

Participants will be asked to use visualizations of data associated with potential cyber incidents and answer a series of questions. You will be asked to provide your feedback on the visualizations presented.

The experiment and training is being conducted online. Your total time commitment is expected to be approximately 90 minutes. We can provide documentation to substantiate submission for CPE credit.

All information about the experiment participants will remain confidential. The data collected during the experiment, along with your feedback will be aggregated to assess and evaluate the impact of the visualizations on the process.

Candidates are asked to complete the online survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K83Q9FK.
(Basic demographics for the survey and to identify experience level of candidate; no employer details collected & no info is shared with AFRL).

If selected to participate in the experiment, they will need an HTML 5 compliant browser (e.g., current Firefox, IE or Chrome) and the ability to use GoToMeeting, or connect to the GoToMeeting Web application at

RE: How many CPEs is it worth?

We will provide a description of the experience that recommends 2 hours of credit. This includes all requirements for participation in this research.
