I took advantage of this and hold the CISSP Emeritus designation. I meet the "retired" status because I'm no longer "employed" as an instructor (I hold the title "Professor Emeritus" at the college where I taught for decades). My teaching now is limited to serving as a "volunteer instructor" for the Diversity Cyber Council, a non-profit organization. It is a great opportunity to serve the community, with my focus teaching classes aligned with CompTIA certifications (Tech+, Security+) to motivated students generally falling into the categories of women and people of color.

After too many years working in IA I'm considering retirement soon but wanted to keep the "CISSP Retired" tag because you never know what's around the corner but when paying the AMF I no longer see anything about it? I found some broken links that detail paying 3x the AMF and using the "CISSP Emeritus" but that's it. I've emailed ISC2 but anyone have any real info or experience on it? Thanks!

It’s about half way down if you look here:

https://www.isc2.org/policies-procedures/member-policies

I guess CISSP retired has retired, and if you look at the stipulations attached it’s probably not worth your while - especially if you think you might use it again. There’s a nice three times AMF bonus for ISC2 though!

Hi:

Did you get any further help on the Emeritus policy? I have just asked for it as well.

Thanks

Keith Jonah
