Hello everybody and good morning,

I am kind of new to information security. I was in IT Admin/Cust for 8 years and I was doing collateral duty as an ISSO for a few months now. I am already studying for the SSCP exam. I am looking into going into ISSO full time. Would a SSCP be a good starting point for getting a certification or an CAP? I am also looking at finding a mentor and going to some conferences.

Thanks, any help would really be appreciated.
