Seeking referrals for Information Systems Security Manager in Fort Worth...

I have a client here in Fort Worth, TX who needs a strong Information Systems Security Manager who will ensure assigned Information Systems (IS) are properly managed, according to the DoD 5220.22-M the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other security directives as required.

*Direct Hire: $130K (flexible if needing to go somewhat higher)

*Industry: Government Operations

*Preferred certifications that meet the basic requirement for Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level II, per DoD 8570.01-M, January 24, 2012:

- ISC2 Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)

- ISC2 Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP (or Associate))

- ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)

- GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC)

Since you are looking for ISSM to fill a government contract I would recommend adding other information (base/option year of current government contract and/or if it is up for re-compete, travel, location (state/country of where work is performed), security clearance, telework option). Also you mention NISPOM so are you looking for a facility clearance manager (e.g. handles staff clearances) or IT ISSM. Reason being is there might be other needs like the HUGE RMF effort. SOW is also helpful. Hope this helps.

Hello there!

Thank you for your response. This is actually full-time, permanent position with my client. Not contract based! Location is Fort Worth, TX. There will be security clearance so they would like someone who is already cleared or willing to get security clearance. Since this is a full-time, permanent position they will be requiring this person to work onsite. This is a true IT ISSM, but I'm sure this person will also act as facility clearance manager as well. I do have a full job description if anyone is interested, I can provide that directly to their email.
