    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Cybersecurity Skills Journal: Practice and Research&lt;/EM&gt; is a hybrid-access scholarly publication focused exclusively on &lt;STRONG&gt;cybersecurity skills&lt;/STRONG&gt;. It seeks to raise the capability maturity of the cybersecurity workforce through open and free dissemination of research on evidence-based practices and private access to digital tools and practice guides.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The journal is international in scope and is uniquely positioned to reach &lt;STRONG&gt;both academic and practitioner&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;audiences&lt;/STRONG&gt;. Upon publication, &lt;EM&gt;Cybersecurity Skills Journal&lt;/EM&gt; (&lt;EM&gt;CSJ&lt;/EM&gt;) articles are distributed widely to individuals and organizations through the National CyberWatch Center Digital Press and affiliated publishing organizations, and are available to a global audience of over 300 institutions and 35,000 potential readers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Writing a paper on skills development --your research of effective practices, or a theoretical article or case studies-- not only helps others learn what actually works, but if your paper is published, you can earn CPEs for your ISC(2) cert.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;CSJ&lt;/EM&gt; seeks to advance knowledge and practice in &lt;STRONG&gt;all areas&lt;/STRONG&gt; of the cybersecurity profession with papers addressing areas such as:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Theoretical/conceptual research with implications for cybersecurity capabilities&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Original empirical research on effective practices&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;In-depth, systematic reviews of the research and literature in specific areas of evidence-based practice&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Case studies or other qualitative analyses demonstrating the application of innovative tactics, techniques and protocols which highlight critical or often overlooked skill requirements for cybersecurity professionals&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Research on cybersecurity professional practice and performance requirements&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Unique challenges encountered by cybersecurity professionals in applying their knowledge, skill and abilities&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Instructional designs or materials, assessments, or practice/challenge lab designs that may raise capability maturity in students and professionals&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are you a practitioner with an idea, but you've never written a paper before?&amp;nbsp; Do you have a draft paper that doesn't seem to fit with other peer-reviewed journals?&amp;nbsp;The &lt;EM&gt;CSJ&lt;/EM&gt; editorial process will help authors of promising content develop their paper.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Interested in submitting an article?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks - it's not really *my* venture, but a cause I believe in... uh...wait, no, let me walk that back: it is a purpose I am willing to spend time on.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And I'm very familiar with your opining. I've been a lurker elsewhere for more than a decade, though almost never post in that other place, although I read more of that content.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
