CISSP is not “needed” to take the CCSP exam, but I think I know what they mean.

CISSP is more known to the public and a lot of content will be in the CCSP exam. Getting CISSP first and then CCSP is a common track to get certified.

To get CISSP first before CCSP depends on what you want to do with this. Getting a job I think CISSP would be best to take first. If your company is in a transition to the cloud and you’re the security officer? I would say CCSP first.

If you have the time and money to take the CISSP exam after you passed CISSP is always a good idea if you ask me.

So it’s up to you. I would say you won’t regret getting either one.

Be well prepared and pass the exam. Good luck 🙂
