I've reviewed the CPE handbook and it is unclear to me how many CPEs I should claim for a Master's level course. It states "Group A: 1 hour of participation related to the credential domains equals 1 CPE credit • Group B: 1 hour of participation related to non-domain related professional development equals 1 CPE credit"

How is participation defined? Does this include the number of hours in class or the number of hours spent studying/preparing course materials?

Does anyone have experience with submitting CPEs for college courses that can offer some tips?

If the course relates to any domain in your certificate, use type A.

If the course is not related to your certification, claim type B.

The normal interpretation for CPE count is 1 CPE for each hour of class time.

If the course is asynchronous with no formal classes, base the number as if you were having to certify participation for someone else. Be ready to explain your basis if challenged.
