It really helps frame the mindset needed to answer the questions correctly. We have a tendency to answer from the technical perspective which is often not the correct answer for this viewpoint. I first learned about it from ISC2. I know that he also has tough practice questions as well, but I didn’t use his. I used Wentz Wu’s. From working with others, I think that people have equal success with Wentz’s, Luke’s, Thor’s, or Boson. Best wishes.

Hello all, hope everyone is having a great day.

I have taken the test twice so far and have failed twice, I have had to take all 150 questions each time, did better the second time than the first, but still no cigar.

I am looking for ways to get a study group near me going, I am in Charlotte NC, I can be reached through email (twcceohv@gmail.com) I am scheduled to take the test in November and would like for the third time to be the charm, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn’t tag you since had CISSP in the id. I went to 150 as well which means are on the fence either way. What helped me most was Luke’s How to Think Like a Manager as helped frame the mindset needed to answer the questions correctly, from a manager’s perspective. I wish you the best on your next attempt. If you went 150 on both, you were really close on both attempts.

It's worth keeping in mind that questions are often looking for the best answer and only answers may be to some degree correct. Or alternatively you might be looking for the least worst answer. Other answers aren't obvious and stem from the code of ethics rather than any technical considerations.

Hello, it’s great to see the effort you’re putting into this certification. I’d be glad to support you—perhaps we can schedule a meeting where I can share some guidance and advice to help you prepare for the CISSP certification.

Please send me an email with the word CISSP2025 in the subject so I can easily identify it.

rubio.onam@gmail.com

What do you feel is the hardest part for taking the test?

The best advice I can give anyone taking the CISSP exam is that you need to pay special attention to key words like best, most, and least in questions.

While there are technical components to it, overall this isn't a technical exam where everything has a clear right or wrong answer. The questions are often higher level and require consideration and making a decision based on context of the situation presented. This is a skill that is desperately needed in most tech-focused IT orgs I have seen.

Take the time to read the questions very carefully and use your knowledge of the materials plus your real-world experience to arrive at the answer.
